Altona Magic S.C Football Scholarships for 2017 Junior Boys Under 11’s

Altona Magic S.C. is pleased to announce it will be offering fully-funded junior scholarships in 2017 for boys competing in under 11’s competition, proudly sponsored by the Makland Group. Altona Magic S.C. is also delighted to announce Tyrone James as its head coach for the football scholarship program. Tyrone James wealth of experience is enormous to Altona Magic S.C and selected junior squad boys with credited qualifications. Tyrone played professional football with Fulham Football Club. The fully-funded scholarship program for boys born in 2006 & 2007 is designed to deliver and develop the playing group with the needed tools giving them every opportunity to become better footballers under the guidance of Tyrone James. The squad will compete in the under 11’s Kangaroos competition for 2017 season, also entering pre-season and end of season tournaments, with a summer program also being included in the offseason.

Trial Dates for squad selection will take place on the following:

Dates: Tues 8th Nov 2016, Thurs 10th Nov 2016, Tues 15th Nov 2016 & Thurs 17th Nov 2016

Time: 6 pm arrival for 6.30 pm start

Venue: Altona Magic S.C, Paisley Park, 1-15 Mills St, Altona North

At the age of 19, Tyrone James played professional football with Fulham Football Club with some of the most famous players in English Football, such as George Best, Bobby Moore, Alan Mullery and Rodney Marsh as his teammates. Bobby Moore, England’s World Cup Captain actually took Tyrone under his wing to help him develop further and become a professional football player.

Tyrone then came to Australia and played for Sunshine George Cross in 1985. The coach was John Gardener, in the NSL League along with Melbourne Knights, Green gully and Sydney FC.
